The problem
At the time, a language model held a few pages of context and lost the thread soon after. I had written no code, and those models were the first AI I worked with.
The approach
I wrote a novella with them, chapter by chapter, and the continuity between sessions was mine to carry. It runs to 24 chapters, kept in four Word documents.
How it works
A world written as a running system
Sapverse is set inside a simulation and speaks its vocabulary: administrators with root access, an all-seeing Eye, self-aware background characters, corrupted data packets and quarantine protocols. It was a systems story before I built systems.
Source material that outlived it
Later an agent read all four documents to mine their vocabulary and motifs for a programming-language version of Hayzûnxñ, my constructed language. I dropped that idea, and the novella stayed what it was.
Outcome
Finished at 24 chapters. It is unpublished and stays private.
